How to sign up for SpringFest 2021 freebie

Spring has sprung at Lowe’s.

The home improvement chain’s SpringFest event officially starts Thursday and includes the springtime promotion of free Garden-to-Go project kits, which can be picked up curbside every Thursday in April.

Advance registration at is required to get the family-friendly themed kits and opens up a week prior to the giveaway. At midnight ET Thursday, registration opens for a Mystery Garden Pinata with mystery seed packets that will be handed out on April 15.

Consumers are advised to sign up early as kits are available while supplies last.

“A limited number of kits are available for each experience and this extremely popular event drove more traffic than we ever expected,” Lowe’s said in an April 1 tweet after registration for the first round of kits was full. “We’re taking steps to ensure a smoother registration experience throughout SpringFest.”

Available while supplies lasted, the free kits “sold out” nationwide, the retailer said. At midnight on April 8, registration will open for the next kit, which is a mystery garden pinata.

Every week in April, for “SpringFest,” the home improvement chain will give away different themed kits to families who register in advance. Registration starts April 1, a week before the first of four weekly giveaways.

The drive-thru event is similar to what Lowe’s did with curbside trick-or-treating in October.
